Volunteers are at the core of WAMSO – Minnesota Orchestra Volunteer Association’s work to fulfill our mission of providing support for the Minnesota Orchestra and promoting music education. WAMSO volunteer opportunities can be found with the Orchestra and with WAMSO’s music education programs. Fanfare Evening Orchestra Ushers

Volunteer ushers are expected to provide excellent, volunteer-driven customer service to patrons attending concerts at Orchestra Hall.  Volunteer ushers will work with the paid usher staff in order to make everyone’s experience the highest quality possible.  If you are professional, dependable and would like to give your support to the Minnesota Orchestra, carefully review the job description and fill out an application.  WAMSO will review applications, interview selected candidates, and make final selections for the volunteer user program.

Kinder Konzerts Guides

Guides introduce children and adults to instruments, sounds and rhythms through hands-on experimentation in a Sound Factory. Volunteer Guides will also lead pre-school children to the Orchestra Hall stage for a concert, with an ensemble of Minnesota Orchestra musicians, designed especially for children.  Enthusiasm for working with young children, patience and good humor, and a desire to provide a positive musical experience for young children are important qualifications for Kinder Konzerts Guides.

Coffee Concert Ushers
Volunteer ushers provide customer service to patrons attending Coffee Concerts on selected Thursday mornings during the concert season.  Volunteers work with the paid usher staff to provide the highest quality of customer service.  You must be a WAMSO member to participate.
