About WAMSO

Mission

WAMSO—Minnesota Orchestra Volunteer Association provides support for the Minnesota Orchestra and promotes music education.

Founded in 1949, WAMSO originally stood for Women's Association of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. Today WAMSO members and volunteers include men and women from various backgrounds and experiences, from students to retirees.

WAMSO offers a variety of opportunities to:

•  support music education for all ages
•  volunteer for Minnesota Orchestra and WAMSO concert and community activities
•  organize exciting fundraisers and special events
•  socialize with music loving people
•  contribute by becoming a member or through other giving options
•  learn more about WAMSO
